Historical memories

A chateau and a chapel belong among dominants of this village. This renaissance chateau used to be a monastery called Hradisko in the past. It was rebuilt from a simple two-storeyed building in 1878 and until 1945 it was inhabited by Konigswart´s family. The chateau is not accessible for tourists because The Home of social care for mentally handicapped women has been placed here.
Hradisko´s abbot Bernard Vanka had at the place of former summer-house a new chapel in 1711 built, which was consecrated to St. Anne. This chapel was rebuilt into a gothic style by a former owner of this domination Moric Strachwitz in 1842.
According to a legend local nobility used to feast here and live by a very sprightly life. A dark-black cloud is set to turn up in a clear sky during one of their feasts. It flashed, a great roll of thunder was heard and a fiery flash struck just to the middle of the marble table around it a profligate society was sitting. No one was either killed or wounded by a miracle. In memorial of this accident a countess charged to pull down this summer-house and to build St. Anne´s chapel at this place as it was her name day just that day. Since local people have been celebrating their country fair each year. Among the most valuable statues in Blansko´s district belong St. Jan Nepomucky sculpture and the statue of Our Lady Bolestná which can be found in the middle of a village green. The Black Gate by the upper bus-stop is worth of being mentioned. A child crying is said to be heard at night at the feast of dead. The legend says that inconvenient children born to noble men and servant girls from chateau, were buried here.

Inns, kiosks

In the centre of this village there is an open inn for the whole year. Kiosks both in a park and at the swimming pool are opened only in summer season. You should not miss Friday country evenings, dancing parties or a local small football in a park. You may be fascinated by a folk music, which you can listen to at the kiosk placed at the swimming pool. You can get something roasted or smoked for eating in both kiosks, but for something else you will have to go to the neighbouring village Kninice.

Cycling and tourist routes

Tourist marks will safely take you through the surroundings of Sebetov. The main marks are garthered by the Health centre at the crossroads.

You can choose these routes:
- yellow mark - Pohora 3,5 km, Usobrno 7km, Dzbel 15,5km
- blue-grey mark - Na pilce 2,5km, Melkov 4,5km, Boskovice 13km
- blue mark - railway station 1km, Cetkovice 13km, Kunstat 23km

- instructive route "Mojetin - nature and people starts at Kninice by Boskovice´s basic school    which comes through a part of this village and another route quites you through nature.

Accomodation

You can set a tent or park a caravan free of charge just at the area of swimming pool at the upper park near the kiosk. Also a cell with a toilet is available there. You can find accommodation also at Mrs. Marie Vojtěchová, Šebetov 14 (phone number 0501/465 416) There are prepared for you:

Two double-bed rooms with the possibility of extra bed, full equipped kitchen and bathroom. You can park your car, caravan or set a tent at a court there.
